IMPORTANT DRESS CODE NOTES FOR ALL STUDENTS:
* All dance shoes must be approved by the instructors before being worn in the dance area.
* Shoes may not have extra bows or ribbon bows added to them.
* Dance shoes may not be worn outside the studio. This may cause damage to the floor, and will cause dance shoes to become gritty and slippery.
* Tap shoes may not be a soft "jazz oxford" style and may not have metatarsal pads (rubber soles)
* Long hair must be pulled back off of face and neck. Ballet students who attend classes which are Level II or higher must have hair in a bun.
* Jewelry other than wedding rings and small earrings are not permitted.
* Additional cover-ups (i.e., leg warmers, t-shirts, sweatshirts, ballet skirts, tutus, dance pants, etc.) are not permitted in youth classes, unless they are stated as part of the dress code.
* Strings on ballet shoes are to be knotted and tucked into shoes, they are not to be tied in a bow or left long.
PURCHASE OF DANCE APPAREL AND SHOES
The following is a list of dance shops which offer various types of required dance shoes. This list is meant for your convenience. Student are not required to purchase from one of the dance shops listed below. In addition, we remind all students that they, rather than dance shops, are responsible for purchasing attire and shoes that meet our dress code.
It is highly suggested that shoes are checked for proper fitting by your instructor before attaching elastics, cutting draw strings, etc. Once you have worn them, or attached straps, they are generally not accepted for returns or exchanges.
